Holiness John 1:35-42 In the first reading, St. John enjoins people to be holy just as God is holy.  Holiness cannot be manufactured by self alone.  It cannot be a series of self-made activities that attains holiness. This is how to live in holiness: first, follow Jesus second, know Jesus third, realize who you are.

Preparing for Lent Mark 10:28-31 As we approach Ash Wednesday, let us remember that this is not a story of our sins; this is not even our asking for forgiveness.  A real preparation for Lent would be this: First, that we overwhelm ourselves with the love of Jesus.  Lent and Holy Week are simply about the never-ending love of Jesus, reflecting the Father's love to us and saving us in the process. Second, it is the story of the life that Jesus offers.  Those who leave home for him will receive a hundred times over, houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and land... oblation is a story of life and fruitfulness. Third, it is a story of Jesus' reflection of the Father - holiness, obedience - qualities that the old Adam destroyed.  And now, they are offered to us. Pray to embrace these things tomorrow and the entire Lenten season.

Making everything holy We cannot desecrate what is holy.  But we can make this world holy by consecrating it.  We cannot use the mindset of the world and use it to interpret the language of God. The language of God is different from the language of the world. God's language is that of sharing; mankind's language is full of self.  The language of God demands self-sacrifice for the sake of others.  Man's language is self-survival. If we desire to truly live, let us abide in God and we shall remain in Him.  That is holiness.

Feast of the Immaculate Conception Can we still be holy?  how do we go back to the holiness that once was? The answer is we couldn't.  But God initiated everything.  It is God's own doing that we go back along the path of holiness.  All it takes is for us to thank God for everything: for the Immaculate Conception and for his son Jesus. God wishes us to be freed from any stain of sin.  God wishes us to be like him in holiness.  That's is the mystery of the Immaculate Conception, even a tinge of holiness, unblemished state can heal the darkness of our lives.  We just need to go to that direction. Could we still be holy?  The answer is "yes!" Even the little things we do, sanctifying all things redounds to proclaiming God's greater glory and honor.  We could do the following: 1.
